Analysis: Troy pays $2.44 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Troy Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71 percent of the $417,880 the Troy Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.44 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Troy contributed $296,543 to the fund, which saw a $37,115 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $121,337, or 29 percent, in 2016.
