City of Alton ames Killion-Beautification and Enhancement Committee met April 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

 Meeting was opened with prayer by Rev. Sheila Goins and the following members were present.

 Abe Lee Barham, Sheila Goins.

 Visitors/Partners were Cas Sheppard, Monica Semnacher and Bob Barnhardt.

Topics of Discussion:

The “correct banner screen had been sent to Jocelyn and ready for reprint. Placement for the banner at the unveiling was to be determined later.

Trash Cans were ready, yet, contact was still needed to the Boy’s and Girls Club of Alton. Pick up from the school locations will begin Thursday, April 27, 2018 concluding on Friday April 28, 2018. Bob Barnhardt to assign a team to pick-up, remove tops, and deliver to the park.

The reveal date of the “CANS” will be Saturday April 28, 2018, starting at 1:00pm. At James Killion park.

Marketing would be necessary with coverage by WBGZ, The Telegraph, Advantage and Riverbender.com.

Cass provided pictures of possible brick walls with stone pillars and chain link for flat areas for the north side of the park.

Discussed the brick cost as $30.00.
