Bethalto Fire Department issued the following announcement on May 1.
The Bethalto Fire Department will hold a Fire Prevention Open House May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Children can enjoy bounce houses or get their pictures taken in the fire trucks while learning about Emergency Medical Services and Fire education.
There will be free food and drinks, a sign-up for smoke detector installation, a live burn demonstration and a helicopter landing between 11 a.m. and noon.
