Rep. Avery Bourne (R-Raymond) used her point of personal privilege to announce some patriotic pictures.
At a recent House floor debate, Bourne detailed that each year an art contest is held in her district.
“This year it was bicentennial theme, Rep. (Tim) Butler (R-Springfield), so you will have to come check out our art winners,” Bourne said.

Holding up colorful photos of the Hoover Dam, a birthday cake and President Abraham Lincoln, Bourne announced the winning piece of artwork.
“Today as a special guest in the gallery we have Claire Cole who drew Abraham Lincoln, so please welcome her and please congratulate all of our art winners,” Bourne said.
