Hal Patton derives some of his greatest pleasures from this time of the year.
“Congratulations to all of the students graduating high school over the coming weeks,” Patton recently posted on Facebook. “I am proud of each of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing you take on the next chapter in life.”
Patton took time from his busy schedule to express his heartfelt feelings. A dentist by trade, Patton is running as a third-party candidate against Rachelle Aud Crowe (D-Glen Carbon) in the 56th Senate District in November’s general election.
As mayor of the town of Edwardsville, Patton has based his campaign on jumpstarting the state’s struggling economy and instituting what he sees as much-needed spending reforms.
The 56th Senate District includes all or parts of Edwardsville, Alton, Glen Carbon, Bethalto, Caseyville, Collinsville, East Alton, Elsah, Fairview Heights, Hartford, Godfrey, Granite City, Madison, Maryville, O’Fallon, Pontoon Beach, Roxana, Shiloh, South Roxana, Swansea and Wood River.
