Collinsville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on June 5.
United Way of Greater St. Louis is excited to announce they are now accepting proposals from nonprofits to take part in the 2018-2019 ASSET Program.
This matched savings program is specifically designed for parents of young children and has two phases. The first consists of ten hours of financial education and credit counseling.
Participants who complete this phase are invited to take part in the 2nd phase where they will be paired up with a financial coach who will provide encouragement and support to help them meet their savings goal.
Participants who save a minimum of $200 over 6-12 months are eligible to receive a $400 match from United Way which can be used to pay down debt or establish a 529 college savings account.
The deadline for proposals is MONDAY JULY 2ND, 2018 AT 5PM.
