City of Alton Civil Service Commission met May 16.

A regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was called to order at 8:15am on May 16, 2018, at Alton City Hall, 101 E. Third Street, Alton, Illinois.
Members Present: Terry Bristow, Jonas Janek
Members Absent: Vicki Searles-Williams
Staff Present: Civil Service Attorney Patrick King
Guests Present: Lt Seth Stinnett
A motion was made by Mr. Bristow and seconded by Mr. Janek to approve the minutes of the regular meetings on April 18, 2018. Motion passed.
Retirement Forms were signed for Michelle Jones, Mike Harvey, Mark Harris and Sue Wuellner-Derr.
Two Letters of Reprimand from the Police Department were discussed.
One Warning from the Fire Department was discussed.
Park and Recreation job descriptions were re-addressed. Approval was tabled with the request that Department Head Bobby Barnhart be present to answer questions and address concerns.
One interview was held for the Police Officer Lateral Entry position.
With no further business, Mr. Bristow made a motion, seconded by Mr. Janek to adjourn at 8:45am.
Motion passed.
