Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to 30 calls in 2017 - 37.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Long Lake included 18 fires - five structure fires, four vehicle fires and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $41,000 in fire loss - or about $2,278 per fire.

The department also received 12 false calls.

The Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $523,240 in 2017.
