Mascoutah Fire Department responded to 57 calls in 2017 - 10.9 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Mascoutah included 31 fires - 10 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 19 other fires.

In all, the department saw $233,500 in fire loss - or about $7,532 per fire.

The department also received 26 false calls.

The Mascoutah Fire Department had an annual budget of $314,505 in 2017.
