Belleville Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.

Memorial ranked fifth among the best hospitals in the St. Louis area and 19th in the State of Illinois. In addition, Memorial Belleville is listed among “high performing” hospitals for treatment of heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hip replacement and knee replacement.

This recognition is a testament to the quality care our physicians and staff provide our patients.”

Memorial Care Center, the 82-bed short-term rehab center located adjacent to Memorial Hospital Belleville has been named one of American’s Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report for eight consecutive years.
