Beginning the 2018-2019 school year, the Triad District will be holding mandatory substitute training sessions. In addition to any current substitutes who did not attend the August training, the October 26 training is also open to first-time Triad substitutes with an IL Professional Educator License or individuals seeking a short-term substitute license. To obtain a short-term substitute license, you must have an associate's degree or have completed at least 60 hours credit from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
All substitutes employed by the Triad district must attend a training before they are able to accept short and long-term substitute jobs. The training will cover the following topics: curriculum, classroom management, school safety, district/building operations, technology, and include time to review the application process for substitutes.
The next training will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at Triad’s Central office: 203 E. Throp St. Troy, IL 62294 from 8:15 – 12:00. Each participant will receive $50.00 pay for attending the training after being hired by the board of education as a substitute for the Triad school district.
