House committee advances veteran-focused legislation package

Today, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, chaired by Mike Bost (R-Ill.), advanced 25 bills for consideration by the full House of Representatives. These bills address various issues affecting veterans, from healthcare choices to fraud prevention.

Chairman Bost stated, “From ending the Biden-era control over veterans’ healthcare choice, to modernizing the VA disability compensation benefits and appeals process, to cutting down on scams and fraud, to protecting deployed servicemembers homes from squatters, to bringing needed accountability to VA’s VR&E program, our committee reported out 25 vitally important bills this week on behalf of the men and women who have served leading into the August district work period.” He also expressed gratitude towards the sponsors of these bills for their contributions.

- H.R. 3834 – Protecting Veteran’s Claim Options Act (Chairman Bost)
