City of Troy issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
When water service is returned, it is recommended to remove the aerators on your faucets and flush your faucets to remove any potential sediment.
Customers in the affected area should boil water for at least five minutes before using for drinking or cooking.
The boil order will remain in effect until further notice, until laboratory sampling confirms that water quality has been fully restored.
