State Senate race: Republican Hildenbrand wins voter tally in Stookey Township

Tanya Hildenbrand led Democrat Christopher Belt in votes cast in Stookey Township for the District 57 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Hildenbrand appeared to outpace Belt by a margin of 10.7 percent on Tuesday in the township.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Ruocco Katherine, won by a margin of 33.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Clayborne, Jr., II, who received 1,188 votes to Winger's 2,391.
