Sign3

Collinsville High School star athletes Zac Cawvey and Alyssa Grimm have signed national letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level.

School officials recently posted on the school’s Facebook page that Cawvey will attend the University of Missouri in St. Louis and play soccer, while Grimm will attend Quincy University and compete in volleyball.

"Zac's hard work and leadership have been instrumental to the success of the soccer program,” Collinsville Coach Rob Lugge added in the post. “Zac is constantly looking to improve upon his skills both physically and mentally, which will serve him well as a student-athlete at the next level."

As for Grimm, Abby Hanger, CHS's volleyball coach, added, "Alyssa's hard work and determination has shown as a three-year starter for the Kahok Volleyball Program. She has been instrumental to the success of the program, and her leadership helped the program to its first 20 win season in her career. Quincy University is very lucky to have such a great student-athlete joining their program."
