Report: Collinsville spent $10,008 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 is up 8.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $9,193 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,008 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6603 to 6350.

Collinsville's spending in 2017-18 was 25 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
