Report: Dupo spent $10,164 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Dupo Community Unit School District 196 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $8,994 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,164 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1167 to 1040.

Dupo's spending in 2017-18 was 23.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
