Report: East Alton-Wood River spent $13,351 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at East Alton-Wood River Community High School District 14 is down 9.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $14,687 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,351 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 528 to 572.

East Alton-Wood River's spending in 2017-18 was 0.1 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
