Belleville home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Belleville fell by $6,000 while total sales decreased by 4.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 264 homes sold, with a median sale price of $81,000 - a 6.9% decrease over the $87,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 277 homes sold in Belleville in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Belleville for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,426.20, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
