Edwardsville home prices unchanged in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Edwardsville was unchanged while total sales increased by 2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 252 homes sold, with a median sale price of $190,000. There were 247 homes sold in Edwardsville in the second half of 2016, and the median sales price for the period was also $190,000.

The median sales tax in Edwardsville for 2017 was $4,028. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,621. This marks an increase of 11.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
