Edwardsville home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Edwardsville fell by $5,100 while total sales decreased by 1.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 249 homes sold, with a median sale price of $184,900 - a 2.7% decrease over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 252 homes sold in Edwardsville in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Edwardsville for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,028, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
