Brooks home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Brooks rose by $43,041 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $110,000 - a 64.3% increase over the $66,960 median sale price for the previous year. There were two homes sold in Brooks in 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Brooks for 2017 was $1,294. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,392. This marks an decrease of 7.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
