Hartford home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Hartford rose by $8,250 while total sales decreased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $43,250 - a 23.6% increase over the $35,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Hartford in 2016.

The median sales tax in Hartford for 2017 was $789. In 2016, the median sales tax was $727. This marks an increase of 8.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
