Highland home prices fall in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Highland fell by $31,050 while total sales decreased by 35.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $142,450 - a 17.9% decrease over the $173,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 31 homes sold in Highland in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Highland for 2017 was $3,377. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,330. This marks an increase of 1.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
