Granite City home prices rise in August 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Granite City rose by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 20.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were 53 homes sold, with a median sale price of $66,500 - a 3.9% increase over the $64,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 67 homes sold in Granite City in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Granite City for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,487, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for August 2018.
