2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62220?

There were 33 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62220, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that 29 men and four women were released in the Belleville zip code. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 32. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jeremiah Matlock. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013, when he was 20 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
