City of O'Fallon issued the following announcement on July 31.
Beginning Monday, August 5, 2019, North Green Mount Road, between Highway 50 and State Street, will be closed for patching of the existing roadway.
Drivers are urged to use Highway 50 to State Street as a detour route. The road will be reopened no later than August 12, 2019.
“Please use caution in this area and if possible seek alternate routes,” said Mayor Herb Roach. “This road construction will help improve travel in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience this road project may cause.”
