Cahokia Community Unit School District 187 Board of Education met Aug. 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

1. Call to Order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Adopt Official Agenda giving the President discretion to take items out of order or in executive session as needed.

4. Approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on July 8, 2019.

5. Consider approval of bills as presented in the amount of $882,312.84 be authorized; that salaries for the month of August 2019 be authorized; that quick pay for July 2019 in the amount of $1,149,255.84 be approved; and that September 2019 salaries and bills to be quick paid be authorized.

6. Public hearing concerning the intent of the Board to sell $29,700,000 working cash fund bonds and $13,000,000 funding bonds.

7. Public hearing concerning the intent of the Board to sell $8,800,000 life safety bonds.

8. Caring Parents of Cahokia Report.

9. Food Pantry Report.

10. Requests signed by interested citizens who attend the Board of Education meeting who request to speak to the Board.

AAA. Approve Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave for Julie Purcell, effective July 22, 2019, through October 16, 2019. Mrs. Purcell will use her sick, personal and vacation, and be docked for the remainder of this leave.

OOO. Approve 2019 Wellness Policy.

PPP. Approve Summer 2020 Health/Life Safety Amendment Work, TCSA #1902 with Hurst-Roesche Inc.

QQQ. Adopt Resolution #19-30 certifying that the conditions for previously approved hazardous routes continue to exist and that funding on these routes be requested for the 2019-2020 school year.

RRR. Approve administration to enter into an agreement with Touchette Regional Hospital for behavioral services and intensive outpatient program (IOP).

SSS. Approve administration to enter into an agreement with Touchette Regional Hospital to

lease space at Oliver Parks/Wirth Middle School.

TTT. Approve administration to enter into an agreement with Southern Illinois Health Foundation to lease space at Wirth Middle School.
