Signal Hill School District 181 issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
Now announcing the 2019 Storybook Pumpkin Contest
Pick up a real or fake pumpkin and decorate it to look like any book character to be entered in this contest. Use any craft supplies or paint to make it look like your character, but don’t carve it! That leads to a messy, smelly library. Make sure to look at the bright orange flyer that went home for more rules. If the SHS staff votes for YOUR pumpkin, you could win $25 to spend at our upcoming Book Fair in November. All entries are due by October 28th by 3 p.m. Time to get creative!
