Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7 Board of Education met Sept. 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District #7, Madison County, Edwardsville, Illinois, met in executive session at Woodland Elementary, 59 S. State Route 157, Edwardsville, IL, 62025 on Monday, September 9, 2019.

Roll Call:

Ayes: Dalla Riva, Olsen, Pitts, Brumback, McDole, Robberson, Bertels

Others present were: Dr. Jason Henderson, Superintendent; Dave Courtney, Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations; Nancy Spina, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel; Adam Garrett, Director of Student Services; Bill Miener, Director of Technology; and Carey Francis, Secretary to the Superintendent.

Jill Bertels moved and Deb Pitts seconded the motion to hold a closed meeting to consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, discuss real estate and to review closed session minutes from the August 26, 2019 meeting.

Roll Call:

Ayes: Bertels, Pitts, Dalla Riva, Olsen, Brumback, McDole, Robberson 

Carried 7-0

At 6:47 p.m. the Board adjourned to closed session. The Board reconvened to open session.

Katie Robberson moved and Jennifer Brumback seconded the motion to approve the minutes from the August 26, 2019 meeting.

Roll Call:

Ayes: Robberson, Brumback, Dalla Riva, Olsen, Pitts, McDole 

Carried 6-0 

Abstain: Bertels

There being no further business, President Jill Bertels entertained a motion to adjourn. A motion was made by Lelan Olsen and seconded by Deb Pitts to adjourn the meeting.

Hearing no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
