Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 issued the following announcement on Dec. 13.
The annual Dorris Intermediate School Fifth Grade Festival of Wreaths will conclude with an online auction on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
Students in the 5th grade classrooms of Mrs. Bode, Mrs. Connolly, Mrs. Giacoletto, Mrs. Huelsmann, Mrs. Leech, Mrs. Lorsbach and Mrs. Vacca decorated wreaths with a theme of their choosing.
This year the classes will host an online silent auction for the wreaths. All proceeds will be donated to Got Your Six PTSD Support Dogs.
The auction will occur on Edmodo at https://edmo.do/j/jm5qh4.
You must sign up and join the Festival of Wreaths class to bid. The auction will not open until December 17th and will run from 10 am to 2 pm. Bidding will be in whole $1 increments (i.e. $5.00, $6.00, $7.00 – no cents). Bids will be placed in the comment box below the wreath. Winners will be notified through Edmodo. Payment is cash only.
“We feel that the gift of giving back to others is an important lesson to share with all our students,” said Mrs.Giacoletto.
