O'Fallon Community Consolidated School District 90 recently issued the following announcement.
Congratulations to the Todd Stonewater, Edward Jones/District 90 Support Staff Member of the Month, Officer Mark Eschman!
In their nomination narrative, Administrators wrote, "When we started the process of looking for security officers a couple years back, we knew what we wanted. We wanted someone with a strong law enforcement background.someone who was vigilant. someone who was willing to go to any lengths to protect the safety of our kids and staff. someone who made safety their top priority. And we got all that! But the reason the Fulton Principals stated they submitted this nomination for Officer Mark Eschman is because they had no idea we were going to get so much more! Officer Eschman loves kids. He's not just concerned about keeping them safe; he will do whatever is necessary to make sure they have a positive junior high experience. He loves to interact with them, crack jokes, and teach a life lesson. The kids enjoy talking with him and you can see his face light up when he gets to have those moments with them as well. He is dedicated to his role of safety, but recognizes that his influence is so much more than that. He will do whatever is asked of him and he does it with a positive 'no problem' and smile! He has made a difference at our school and others as well, and District 90 appreciates all that he does for our kids!"
