Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Jersey County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Jersey County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that six men and one woman were released in Jersey County. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Patrick D. Jones. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when he was 49 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Jersey County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
