Jan.-June 2019 Recap: Parolees in Alton convicted of crimes against children

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against children released on parole in Alton during the first half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Alton were men. The younger parolee was a 38-year-old man sentenced in 2013. The other was a 44-year-old man sentenced in 2010.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Stanton D. Holliday. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2010 when he was 34 years old. He is now 44.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders during the first half of 2019 who were convicted of crimes against children.
