Roll Call: Present: Stewart, Weber, Schrumpf, McAtee, Allen, Woulfe-Beile, and Mayor McCormick
Absent:
Trustee Allen asked for approval of the minutes of the December 2, 2019 meeting. The minutes were approved with no objections from the Committee.
PRESENTATION:
OLD BUSINESS:
No old business at this time
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL FOR A STREET LIGHT TO BE PLACED ON LEVIS LANE SOUTH OF THE ENTRANCE.
Frank Steward of 2800 Highlands Rd., Godfrey IL addressed the Board. Mr Stewart would like a street light placed at the entrance to his subdivision.
Levis Lane is very dark and presents a hazard with deer, stopped vehicles and pedestrians crossing the road. Further, with the amount of car break ins reported, lighting would deter crime.
Trustee Allen moved for the approval of a street light to be placed on Levis Lane south of the entrance, seconded by Trustee Stewart. Poll of Committee: Ayes-6,
Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Herbert Meyenburg of Godfrey IL addressed the Board regarding erosion issues and standing water in his yard. Mr. Meyenburg believes this is a result of his neighbors changing the elevation in their yard. Also, the neighbors have “weeds” that are over 8”. Mr. Meyenburg would like the Village to “enforce their Ordinances”. Trustee Allen told Mr. Meyenburg that he is not sure if the Village can do anything as Mr. Meyenburg has already had a court decision against his complaint. Trustee Allen said he would consult with the Village Attorney, Tom Long, and get back to him in a week’s time.
Trustee Allen moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:17 p.m., seconded by Trustee Schrumpf. Poll of Committee: Ayes-6, Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried.
