Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62002?

There were 19 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live near Illinois zip code 62002, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that 16 men and three women were released in Alton zip code. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 42. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Stanton Holliday. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2010, when he was 35 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
