Analysis: Maryville pays $4.80 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Maryville Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.8 percent of the $120,109 the Maryville Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.80 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Maryville contributed $99,405 to the fund, which saw a $2,694 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $20,704, or 17.2 percent, in 2018.
