Analysis: Collinsville pays $3.89 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Collinsville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.5 percent of the $1,789,028 the Collinsville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.89 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Collinsville contributed $1,422,092 to the fund, which saw a $264,798 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $365,016, or 20.4 percent, in 2018. Another $1,920 came from other unspecified sources.
