Analysis: Caseyville pays $3.42 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Caseyville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.5 percent of the $306,189 the Caseyville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.42 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Caseyville contributed $228,218 to the fund, which saw a $39,595 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $66,698, or 21.8 percent, in 2018. Another $11,273 came from other unspecified sources.
