City of Granite City Legal and Legislative Committee met June 16.

Alderman Koberna called the Legal & Legislative Committee Meeting to order and turned over to the Council to discuss unkept properties.
Eavenson stated is there some kind of incentives that we can give the neighbors for cutting the lawns; we need to rethink the wheel.
Discussion by the Council and Mayor about the unkept homes, lots, absentee property owners.
Mayor stated that the Council could possibly buy the properties and rehab the homes, then sell them.
Koberna stated that we would schedule another meeting to discuss further.
MOTION By Koberna, second by Williams to adjourn the Legal & Legislative Committee Meeting. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
