CITY OF BELLEVILLE: Belleville Public Library Expands Curbside Pick-Up Starting Aug. 3

City of Belleville issued the following announcement on July 22.

Beginning Mon., Aug. 3, the Belleville Public Library will expand its curbside pickup services to library patrons.

Curbside services will now be available Monday-Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Patrons may also request items from other libraries throughout the State of Illinois.

Patrons may order items online at www.belleville.net/350/Library, via email at curbside@bellevillepubliclibrary.org, or by calling 618-234-0441, and pick up is at the main branch, 121 E. Washington, Belleville.

Five parking spots will be designated for library pick-up by a traffic barricade and signage in the parking lot on Washington adjacent to the library. Patrons should park in defined spot, then call or text the phone number provided on signs, and should provide their name, library barcode, and space number. An employee of the library will then deliver the items to the patron’s trunk.

There is a limit of 10 items per account and one library account can be utilized per household. If in the case library staff are unable to fill requests for a specific title, staff may make substitutions based on availability of material.
