O'fallon FD responds to 50 fires in 2018

O'Fallon Fire District responded to 408 calls in 2018 - 2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in O'fallon included 50 fires - 18 structure fires, 13 vehicle fires and 19 other fires.

In all, the department saw $878,853 in fire loss - or about $17,577 per fire.

The department also received 358 false calls, including 12 malicious calls and 346 other false calls.

The O'Fallon Fire District had an annual budget of $1,181,699 in 2018.

The O'Fallon Fire Fighter's Pension Fund, which has one active employee and retired or inactive employee, was $6,828 positive as of April 2017, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $137 for every fire in 2017.
