Mascoutah Fire District responded to 76 calls in 2018 - 5.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Mascoutah included 32 fires - 18 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $858,500 in fire loss - or about $26,828 per fire.

The department also received 44 false calls.

The Mascoutah Fire District had an annual budget of $298,511 in 2018.
