French Village Volunteer Fire Department responded to 154 calls in 2018 - 7.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in French Village included 62 fires - 37 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 16 other fires.

In all, the department saw $67,250 in fire loss - or about $1,085 per fire.

The department also received 92 false calls, including five malicious calls and 87 other false calls.

The French Village Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $260,480 in 2018.
