Prairietown Fire Protection District responded to 21 calls in 2018 - 320 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Prairietown included 21 fires - nine structure fires, two vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

In all, the department saw $426,200 in fire loss - or about $20,295 per fire.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
