Collinsville Fire District responded to 281 calls in 2018 - 16.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Collinsville included 100 fires - 41 structure fires, 18 vehicle fires and 41 other fires.

The department also received 181 false calls, including three malicious calls and 178 other false calls.

The Collinsville Fire District had an annual budget of $292,764 in 2018.

The Collinsville Firefighters Pension Fund, which has 33 active employees and 35 retired or inactive employees, was $664,717 positive as of December 2017, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $6,581 for every fire in 2017.
