GRANITE CITY COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 9: Rotary Honor Students of the Month

Granite City Community Unit School District 9 issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.

Six juniors from Granite City High School were selected as Granite City Rotary Club Students of the Month for September, October and November.

September: Brennan Bronnbauer, Lily Relleke

October: Ellisya Perri, Nicholas Butchee

November: Max Forbes, Lillian Harris

Students were nominated by teachers, and were chosen on the basis of academics, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and civic honors and awards, and organization membership and leadership.

Each honoree will receive a framed certificate and a gift card. They will be recognized virtually at the Granite City Rotary Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

BRENNAN BRONNBAUER

Member of Bass Fishing Team ... Boy Scouts and Science Club ... Honors Award ... Three-year Troop Guide ... Two-year Boy Scout Eagle Fundraiser and Project Builds.

LILY RELLEKE

Three-year member of Scholar Bowl and Saturday Scholars Program.

ELLISYA PERRI

Two-year member of Foreign Language Club ... Robotics Club and Science Club ... Secondary Honors; Secondary Honors Certificate Award.

NICHOLAS BUTCHEE

Member of Boy Scouts and Scholar Bowl Team ... Three-year Secondary Honors ... Two-time Brotherhood Honor, Order of the Arrow ... ILMEA All-District Musician ... Most Outstanding Sophomore Musician ... Boy Scout Troop 1899 Senior Patrol Leader ... Member of Marching Warriors, Concert Band and Pep Band ... Baritone Section Squad Leader ... Saturday Scholars.

MAX FORBES

Two-Year Secondary Honor and Saturday Scholar ... Two-year Honor Roll ... Innovation Award ... Lead Builder - Robotics; CEO of Max3D ... Three-year baseball and two-year soccer letterwinner ... Internship with local state representative ... Two-year Tutor at GCHS.

LILLIAN HARRIS

Member of Cross Country and Track & Field Teams ... Cross Country Team Captain ... Volunteer with School District Summer School, Rotary and Salvation Army Bell Ringing ... Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Varsity Club, Saturday Scholars Program, Science Club and Renaissance.
