City of Alton Amphitheater Commission met Aug. 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

Chairman Robert Stephan called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

Motion to approve the June 16, 2020 meeting minutes made by Dan Herkert, seconded by Michelle Brooks. Motion carried.

Motion made to pay 2019 Expo invoices from Metro Supply, totaling $625.16, made by Michelle Brooks, seconded by Dan Herkert. Motion carried. (NOTE: these invoices were received recently.)

There was discussion regarding ASCAP and SESAC invoices. There are no amphitheater events this year, so may not need to pay. Per discussion, Mr. Ontis will contact both to inquire.

Discussion on all upcoming events and event requests. Due to Covid guidelines, large crowds are not allowed. No temporary permits will be issued to food trucks. The State is not inspecting carnival rides. Basically, we will not be able to hold any planned events, or accommodate any requests. Motion made to cancel scheduled events and deny all requests by Dan Herkert, seconded by Michelle Brooks. Motion carried.

Chairman Stephan will issue a press release.

Chairman Stephan and/or Mr. Herkert will talk to Evntiv regarding delayed concert.

Discussion was held regarding vendors not following Covid restrictions. A statement will be released.

Motion to adjourn at 5:15 p.m. by Karen Baker-Brncic, seconded by Jay Hollinger. Motion carried.
