City of Collinsville City Council Met Sept. 10.

Julie McPike called the virtual board meeting of the Alton Municipal Band to order at 6:33 pm.

1. Minutes – Mike Fergurson motioned to accept the minutes from the August 20, 2020
meeting. Anne Lovelace seconded. 6 yays, 0 nays. Motion passed.
2. Financials – Mike Fergurson motioned to approve bills listed below to be paid. Linda Fergurson seconded. 6 yays, 0 nays. Motion passed.
$1000 to Dan Leonard for the stage at Riverview Park
$74.98 to B&B Custom Tee’s for design work and sample shirt
3. Addition – Board members preferred quality of embroidery work by LOGO IT for band shirts vs. B&B Custom Tee’s based on sample provided and suggested increasing shirt inventory to 220 given price breaks. Estimated cost $3750. Linda Fergurson motioned to accept. Melissa Bock seconded. 6 yays, 0 nays. Motion passed.
Informational Items
1. Board Term Expirations - Board members terms expire for David Drillinger, Debbie
Kelley, and Kasey Oglesby.
2. Julie McPike to submit the following names to the Mayor to serve on the board:
Christopher Alexander, Kristi Foster, Adam Rodgers. Melissa Bock motioned to accept. Anne Lovelace seconded. 6 yays, 0 nays. Motion passed.
Discussion Items
1. Ensemble Scheduling – Brass ensemble scheduled to play Saturday 9/12, fife & drum
scheduled to play Saturday 9/19.
2. Ensemble Music Library – David Drillinger to follow up.
3. Soloist Stage Project – David Drillinger shared photos of the stage progress at Riverview Park. Contractor estimates it will be ready sometime in October.
4. Storage Facility Update – Martha Roberts to follow up.

1. Appoint Acting Vice Chairman – Kasey Oglesby will fill in as interim Vice Chairman. Anne Lovelace motioned to accept. Mike Fergurson seconded. 6 yays, 0 nays. Motion passed.
Comments from the Public: David Drillinger discussed the need for a declaration of thank you to Debbie Kelley for her years of service to the board. Discussed getting her flowers, pictures of the band/memory book, etc. Board members to brainstorm ideas.
Linda Fergurson motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30pm. Mike Fergurson seconded.
