Highland Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Our guest speaker will be Fire Captain Liz Brown. She will be speaking on fire safety and prevention. She will be accompanied by several fire fighters from her station.
Captain Liz Brown has an impressive career:
I have grown up in this area and I have been involved in the fire service for over 26 years starting at the age of 18, working the last 20 years for CAL FIRE. I am also a licensed paramedic for over 20 years and I am currently the rank of Captain for the last 10 years. I am assigned to station 541 on Baseline and Central where we average approximately 10-15 calls a day.
I am on a California state wide commission to recruit more females into the fire service. I am also a Board of Director as fire representative for a charter school in San Bernardino called Public Safety Academy of San Bernardino. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and traveling in my free time.
